A year and a half ago I’d just been through the experience of losing a marriage, a home, a family, a father and a job. So I promptly set about telling God what I wanted to make of it. What I wanted to happen next. Nothing happened. Things were looking bleak.
One day, a book reminded me that God has a GOOD plan – a Plan to prosper me and not to harm me. So I threw up my hands and said “Ok fine. YOUR will be done.” (I’m sorry, but sometimes I can be a smart ass, even with God.) The NEXT DAY a phone call came that changed EVERYTHING.
So if you think things are without hope, maybe it’s time to let go and fall into the Everlasting Arms. To see what good fortune He has planned for you. Sometimes it’s just waiting patiently for us to simply become a willing participant.
